This website has been designed specifically to serve the needs of the Sikh community of Coventry. The SikhWayForward is as much about providing the community information as is it about sharing in your knowledge and experiences. Our primary objectives are to:

• Bring Young Sikhs together to encourage unity of the community from an early age.
• Provide basic education about Sikhism; the principles and history that every Sikh should be aware of and be proud to be a part of
• Tackle issues for young Sikhs today, which is inherently important in the changing world and threats that young Sikhs face in the wider society today
• Encourage more people to participate in community activities. Contributing to (wider, not just Sikh community) or Seva is identified by Sikhism as an incredibly important part of life, and something we should all be more active
• Allow you to express your own opinions about issues you feel are important to the community. At the end of the day this forum has been established to serve the Coventry community and so your input is vital, as a member of that community

We are doing this work for the Sikh community as seva and we have set-up this facility so that we, the community, can unite to help each other so that we can all build a strong life foundation so that we can be prepared for the testing times of life ahead and lets face it, like it or not modern life is full of stress and confusion and teenagers are finding it very difficult in striking a balance with the ways of western culture whilst keeping in touch with their roots. There is so much to learn and offer but it takes a lot of time to gather information and put it in the newsletter form and on the web-site. For this we need help, we are looking for inspirational writers would like to be part of our team to help run this project and become a success. Brothers and sisters come and join us, we need you.
